How to save colors in Adobe XD

Want to save color swatches in Adobe XD?

When working on a large UI project, efficiency is important. Fortunately, like many of the other Adobe design tools, XD lets you save colors in a swatch panel so you can access them again and again without needing to type in the hex value.

This is especially helpfully if the brand you are working on has dozens of colors!

Here is a quick help guide to get you started.

Here are the steps:

  1. Open your Adobe XD project
  2. From the Appearance panel on the right side, open the color Fill and choose a color
  3. Click the “+” symbol under the Fill menu in the Appearance panel
